Well after our dinner at the Ishka Restaurant we decided to try the Sunday breakfast.
Breakfast was definitely more kid friendly! The staff were excellent, the food was good and the views amazing!
They open the doors at 8.30am and serve breakfast down stairs in the main bar area. We headed outside and grabbed a table overlooking the north side so we had water views all around and the girls were kept happy looking at people launching their boats and seagulls bobbing on the water.
You head to the bar to place your orders and no sooner had my husband sat down they were bringing our coffees and juices out. Coffee (latte, flat white, cappucino etc) is $4 and juice (OJ, pineapple, apple, tomato) is $5. The coffee was really good and the girls drank their juice superquick and enjoyed chewing on iceblocks.
Our breakfast soon arrived with both my husband and I having the full breakfast of bacon, eggs (scrambled or fried), tomato, mushroom, sausages, toast and baked beans. I'm not a baked bean fan but ate all of these as they had a fresh cooked, tasty tomato sauce flavour, definitely no tins involved! They cost $24 each and the girls had the kids serve of pancakes for $12 which consisted of 2 fluffy pancakes with a strawberry on top and a little bowl of maple syrup and one with a scoop of icecream. They were in heaven and didn't let Mummy have a bite! Would love to try some of their other breakfast items if we make it up there again. They had a few choices for kids on the breakfast menu.
All in all a great place for a special Sunday breakfast which you could follow up with a splash in the harbour or a slide on the playground to wear some of it off.
